The Smartest Way to Avoid Fraud
Working with an accredited Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) member for valuation is a wise choice that helps to lower your risk of real estate fraud – AIC Canada.
To identify AIC members, watch for these designations after their name:
AACI (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) – designates fully accredited membership in the Appraisal Institute of Canada and demonstrates capabilities in all aspects of real estate valuation
CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) – members are qualified in the appraisal and valuation of dwellings containing up to four self-contained family housing units, as well as individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites.
